Club Furies

Javfstrackt, the alias of Javier Fontenla, is the project of the musician, producer, and disc jockey from Argentina, based in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. He began his career as a DJ in 2012, at the same time as he began his piano studies. In 2015 he entered the world of production. His musical influences come from Acid Techno, Dub, Breakbeat, Trip-hop, and Hip-Hop, focusing on the percussions that accompany his bass lines, creating mysterious atmospheres.

In recent years, he concentrated on developing and improving his sounds, focusing on sci-fi Techno and dry sounds. Now, after releases on Primitive State Records, Concepto Hipnótico Records, Zoowork Music, and Kusiya Records, he is featured on one of our favorite labels.

From the untamed wastelands of the desert of Iquique, Tarapacá, in Atacama, Chile, Árido Records presents Javfstrackt‘s recent work, titled Centro De La Tierra. A particularly important work for the Argentinean producer. The reason: the constant search for a sound and identity has been a challenge in recent years. This is a journey about that search.

An EP of six original tracks –Descenso, Corteza, Nucleo, Falla Tecnica, Lectura Gravitacional, and Ascenso-, which corresponds to the label’s 27th extended play. In this work, we immerse ourselves in the proposal of the artist based in Villa Luro, Buenos Aires, Argentina, whose semantics are inscribed in an infinite journey to the interior of our mothership. The proposal is that of sounds through Sci-Fi atmospheres that take the listener through different cerebral states and mental deconstruction.

In synthesis, it is an internal sound search, linking the melodic and artistic concept that the artist seeks to express. Undoubtedly, a conceptual work that seeks to consolidate a powerful and intentional concept.

Club Furies presents the premiere of Núcleo, the track that lands in the core of the Centro de la Tierra. After plunging into deep waters, slowly reaching the depths of the Mariana Trench, the Descenso has begun. After the Descent, the Corteza that separates the ocean floor from what is at the center of the planet looms into view.

After the Descent, through the Crust, we reach the Núcleo, our premiere. Here Javfstrackt‘s exploration shows all its introspective quality, as much as it is delirious. The «joker grimace» sound forms hide behind them the Core of the Earth and of this release.

Once they have dissolved, the density and warmth feel embraced. That is the signal that we are in the matrix. The joker grimaces appear again, and the psyche, entangled in overwhelming heat, is momentarily lost. The Core will be lost to a Falla Técnica, which will require Lectura Gravitacional, which will eventually lead to Ascenso.
