Club Furies

Juan Benedetti, better known as Kid Riot, is a producer and disc jockey from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with more than twenty-five years of experience in the Argentine Techno scene. He is a foundational part of it as a member of the Urban Groove group, under the alias Jam-On.

Since the mid-nineties, and among all his performances in events, recordings, and party productions, some of them stand out. Vinyl releases on Kumquat, Universal, Strictly Rhythm; opening for The Prodigy, a closing set for Front 242, sharing a line-up with Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Len Faki, Chris Liebing, Function, Zadig, Lewis Fautzi, Shifted, Hector Oaks, SPFDJ, Setaoc Mass, among many others. He has also been able to spread his vision of Techno across the country.

Kid Riot is a resident of Under Club, a reference place in South America. At the end of 2019, he carried out his first tour in Spain, with performances in Madrid (Club Utopia- Under Club showcase) and Barcelona (Rezonanz- Razzmatazz). Kid Riot has also released his material on Dolma Red (France), Syxt, Glukkon (Germany), Monark (Spain), Blumoog (United Kingdom), Panel Trax (Hungary), and on Argentinian labels, such as Unterwelt, Armed, Private, among others.

In this way, Kid Riot defines himself as a Soldier of Techno. A soldier respected by his peers through the generations.

Now, it’s time to take the next step. It’s Audio Alert, the Buenos Aires-based music label curated by Kid Riot, part of the first wave of the Argentine Techno scene. Audio Alert focuses on real Techno. Audio Alert‘s sonic constructions are centrifuged in rhythms inspired by urban behaviors. Science fiction explorations through the making of a half-human/half techno art. Always looking forward, and respecting the legacy.

On this first release, boss Kid Riot presents Your Normality, a work in which he made two solid tracks with energetic beats, FM bassline, and layers of granular sound. It includes two great remixes by Julieta Kopp and Krissfa, keeping the same concept.

Club Furies presents the premiere of the title track of this first release. Your Normality may refer to the normality resumed after the pandemic that hit the whole world.

Whatever the meaning of the title might be, if we stick to the sound, we are faced with Audio Alert‘s slogan: serious and real Techno. Ipso facto, that’s what it’s all about. The intensity of the sound only allows for two valleys of silence, in which the voice takes over the sound. Before and after them, what the sound erects and furrows are razor-sharp mountain ranges.

Your Normality is then a stroke of authority: this is what Audio Alert is all about. We can tell you right now that with Kid Riot, with years of experience behind them and their quality in production and curation, Audio Alert is not just another label: it is a label to follow closely.
