Adrian Sandoval, better known as Developer, is a DJ and producer who emerged from the Los Angeles techno scene in the early 1990s. Over the past three decades, Developer has played alongside many of the elite techno talents from around the world and has been involved in creating a foundation in the Los Angeles techno culture, producing events and introducing various up-and-coming international talents from the mid-1990s to the late 2000s. Developer is also known for his marathon sets and quick programming skills, as well as his ability to play 50 tracks per hour on 3 decks.

Developer has positioned himself as one of America’s most interesting techno mixmasters, who also has his label Modularz, whose productions and impressions feature some of his contemporaries in Los Angeles, as well as established and emerging talent from around the world. With multiple productions over the years, on well-established labels such as Illegal Alien Records, where he had previously participated with Renders of Ambition, he now arrives at the experimental sub-label of the label led by Ricardo Garduno.

In Thoughts., he presents, together with the boss, the third edition of Parallel Thoughts – which will also be released in physical format, on vinyl. These editions receive a guest with two songs, which join those produced by Ricardo Garduno. In the first edition, it was Vinicius Honorio; while in the second edition, it was Jonas Kopp. Now, Developer joins this series that grows in sonic potential and scope as well as conceptual.

Whispers Of Tomorrow is one of the two tracks with which Angelino contributes to this third edition of Parallel Thoughts, whose quality is due to the cohesion of two productions of two artists in an analogous way. Doing justice to the concept from which these deliveries start, the sound of this track gets lost in introspective mental tribulations, strongly marked by hypnosis and detail. Loaded with the unburdened burden of time, the sound design enables itself to unwind calmly, allowing such inner journeys to unfold in the best possible way.

Once the climax of such tribulations is reached, the structure of the sound changes. From the doom and the ungraspable black of the mind to the stabilization of the mental wandering. In other words, we are still lost, but now we know we are. This is due to a careful sound design, which knows when to veer in the sound to the implication of the existential state of mind. After that, the sound, previously fragmented in two, undergoes a synthesis and symbiosis of both moments. In the first moment, lost without knowing it and, in a second moment, aware of the misplacement, the sound suffers from alerts mediated by such awareness, which nevertheless does not result in its resolution.

So the sound remains lost in Developer‘s thoughts, and we deeply appreciate it. It’s a spectacular track, full of wide and expansive structures, whose spaces are filled with the nuances and all the artistic creativity of one of today’s most sophisticated DJs and producers, who now joins Thoughts‘ exclusive Parallel Thoughts team.
