Spain-based underground techno, industrial, and drone label Signal Rec presents its second release of 2024. With their raw, dark, and ruthless approach to techno, Signal Rec presents Spaniard Wlack with his debut work on the Spanish platform. Four distinctive original tracks are stamped on his EP titled Rebound.

This work presents the rarities of a deep and powerful sound. A release that reveals an introspective and emotional side, influenced by hypnotic and experimental sounds. With these elements on the horizon, it seeks to look beyond the horizon.

After the opening track, which cleanses everything with sharp sounds in the form of bright and clear swords, Acid Bird builds on the atmosphere created by its predecessor by pouring acid juices over the floor. Behind it, if we pay attention, the sweeps serve to excite the brain and body, so that we become alert and expectant. Ethereal halos take shape amidst valves and dripping acid drops that dissolve into the techno of the sound design, reaching off.

With the sound reactivated, the synthesis of the elements poured into the ductile song of cybernetic birds, designed to make the most demanding dancefloors and clubs sing and shake. Everything reaches the point of delirium, and yet we are only on track two. It reminds us to fracture the psyche of the dancer/listener and the speakers and veins of the night.

One of our favourites, Wlack, is in one of our favourites, Signal. The result could not be otherwise: precise, experimental, boundary-pushing, subtle, powerful, and profound. Surgical sound that will dynamite the ears of the most demanding listeners, whether for close listening or for the floor. Wlack satisfies all the desires of the raw sound audiophile!
