Mexican sound collision that has never been more on fire. Pasts that paved the way; presents that forge and give stylistic depth; and futures that are well established. VIBRNTE — or Vibrante Records — is one of the most recent Mexican labels to build on the Mexican sound that has been reverberating around the world for several years now. This time it is the fourth release, led by two of the sonic forces that have contributed to deepening that sound.
The musical production pseudonym and alter ego of Fernando Sifuentes, DJ and producer, Diskontrol, whose style ranges from indie dance, nu disco, dark disco, to techno; and the artist born in the city of Alacrán (Durango Mexico) José Luis, better known as Hyper Trvshit, an emerging talent within the indie dance/dark disco genre, also known as one of the artists who represent trash music on a global level within the Electro Dance movement. Together they present En Vivo, an original track, curated by VIBRNTE and accompanied by remixes from the bosses — Chapa X and ROB-IIN — and our beloved Vleks and Pvlomo.
The original is loaded with heavy bass, thickened with nuclear energy, and rhythms that are both recrudescent and perennially revitalized. And vocals that make explicit what follows the night of a party. The remix of Vleks comes with the power of the sonic experience that envelops us with bass lines and dark features. So pronounced that they invite us to the inner explosion. We are talking about the Mexican rock ‘n roll techno of the Tamaulipas producer.
The pulsations ipso facto increase to frenetic levels, while the atmosphere is covered in night and darkness. The vocals appear faster, causing us to quickly become convinced of what they’re saying: “I don’t care what they say about me” — in Spanish — amidst flashing bulbs at breakneck speeds. “Come with me… you want to party… it’s over till morning… this fart won’t end” — in Spanish. Honesty and descriptive acuity of the Mexican electronic scene. This may go unnoticed because it is a truism. However, it is constantly slipping through implicitly. Indeed, make it that explicit shows a kind of Mexican sound manifesto.
And when the night is over, and the invitation made to us by En Vivo comes true, Vleks in a transitive genius takes us to the sounds of the XXI new century. This causes the night to be born again in the day, causing paradoxical temporal collisions and revitalized sounds, with electricity, ferocity, and enviable security.
