Club Furies

Ungar is a DJ and electronic music producer based in Galicia, Spain. Involved since 2001 in the electronic music scene and owner of NuLabel -a digital and vinyl label created in the summer of 2011. If we use one word to define Ungar‘s work it would be seriousness, where the most important thing for him is the music and the respect for the artists and the audience. Influenced by many styles, starting with minimal, dub, electro, house, and, above all, techno.

Now, his talent landed on the Spanish platform Diffuse Reality to present his debut work there titled Distorsion, composed of eight original tracks. Distortion is the action of twisting or unbalancing the arrangement of figures in general or of artistic elements, or of presenting or interpreting facts, intentions, etc., intentionally deforming them. Psychoacoustics is a branch of psychophysics that studies the relationship between the physical characteristics of a sound stimulus and the psychological response it provokes in a subject.

So we have a noun that deforms or transforms something and a branch that studies sound stimuli and the psychological response to them. So let us observe for ourselves what psychological alterations the sound of this track produces in us. The labyrinths through which the rhythm leads us to generate confusion, which is accentuated by the acceleration of the beats per minute. When all that acceleration subsides, our psyche rests, resting on plains of calm and relaxation.

But it doesn’t stop there. The acceleration and frenetic pace at which the track arrived led to mental confusion. The lulls and plains to which the sound transited calmed our souls. And after the silence we arrived at a synthesis, which has led us to dancefloors of unsuspected subtlety and clean, almost velvety atmospheres. And at the forefront of all these purple and bright green halos, after which the distortion takes shape.
