DJ and producer Martín Villalba, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, returns quickly to Tlaloc Records. After presenting a two simply spectacular double-tracker, called Dreams In Majo, and El Dictador del Cielo, now is turn to be back with a third two-tracker. This one is titled Link and is composed of Dark Soul and Dos Vueltas tracks.
A dark soul in the sound can be glimpsed in genres like techno or what is generally known as dark electronics, in which techno, EBM, and dark wave are preeminent. This time the sound is fixed to the techno genre, but in more accelerated beats per minute, which makes us sweat quickly. Parallel to this speed, tinkling beeps activate the latencies of our heart to activate it and keep it attentive and expectant.
We reach the valley of death — if we want to look very cliché and naive; where sound meets silence and unknown wastelands. This valley acts as an enhancer and rotor that reactivates the energy, both of the sound and of the dancer, which had been diminished after the fast pace of the beginning. Now everything has been transformed into denser environments. In the midst of this hypnosis is present and the sound subjugates us to its domain. It is time to face this Dark Soul.
