Club Furies

The sound charmer; an image artist; a techno cowboy; and current leader of Mexxita. Some of the qualities of Pvlomo, an artist in the full sense of Mexico, and one of our most beloved. Darky, disco, acid, and techno sound is that of Pvlomo, who returns to our mix series, after performing in 2021.

Our mix series is called Cintas Furiosas – Furious Tapes, in English. They are inspired by the band from the cult film The Warriors (1979) called Baseball Furies, and the scintillating Imperator Furiosa, the iconic character from the fourth installment of the Mad Max saga, Fury Road (2015), and now too from the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024). Conceived as tapes that express a “furious sound”, both as a metaphor and as a sonic process, they acquire a special and unique fury with each artist they feature. With Pvlomo, the result is techno pop, techno dark y techno dense.

At first, the rhythm settles in the veins of the night, still aware of the freshness that preceded it, and framing itself securely in it, and then detaching itself from it as the sound passes. Once fully established in the interstices of the night, freneticism, delirium, and madness make room in the sound. It demands the same from the clubber: sweat, sensuality, madness, and freneticism on the dancefloor.

Everything enters into very prolonged ravesque terrains, reaching the depths of the night and the sound through the control of Pvlomo‘s excellent decks. Progressively we have been taken to places of darkness, dance, sensuality, and sweat. All this has led us to smooth trances that combine dualities between density and agility and dense coolness. It’s time for the rest of this Cinta Furiosa, which has left us in awe, in terms of the selection of tracks as well as the way of making them one through extraordinary transitions and crossfades.
