Club Furies

Originally from Guatemala City, Central America, Luis Mendizabal is a DJ and producer with a passion for electronic music. His love for electronic music started more than fifteen years ago when he founded his own collective and digital magazine Living Techno. Since that moment Luis has not stopped discovering and selecting music from the best labels and artists from all over the world. His DJ career began in 2019 when he started organizing raves in Guatemala. His DJ sets are characterized by the intensity and speed he pours to the dance floor.

He loves to create intelligent-sounding atmospheres that the audience can enjoy both mentally and physically. His favorite genres are techno and electro mixed with psychedelic and hypnotic textures. As a producer, he started his journey in music production in 2020, and in 2023 he released four EP productions.

Living Techno is a local website based in Guatemala City whose mission is to create a true cultural movement of people from all over the world who enjoy and share the same passion for the underground electronic music scene. For the third release of Living Techno‘s label version, the boss presents Risk Files, a work of six original tracks with its own intensity and all the sonic strength of the Guatemalan producer.

According to the Bible, Admá was one of the five cities of the Valley of Siddim, which was destroyed along with Sodom and Gomorrah. Of unknown location, and with etymological roots that could mean «red», which can mean fortress or red earth, the sound is a sonorous translation of this on several levels. On the one hand, the rhythm is relentless, denoting an enviable structural strength. On the other hand, this character is not displayed all at once, without significant sonic mediations. Bathed in subtle red, which covers it with subtlety and velvet, sonorous.

This combination allows a duality between fortified ferocity and subtle velvety coatings that imbue it with a spectacular distinctive. Everything ends up falling asleep on one of the soft sides of the difference that the sonic structure has built for itself, one that makes it phenomenal. This is how Risk Files closes, as Admá is the closing track.
