Club Furies

T&NE RECORDS was created in February 2019 by Matthieu Rose aka MTRZ. The name is short for “techno and nothing else”. MTRZ then opened the doors of his label to other artists in 2022, such as AKZ and Tony Miler, transforming the label into a non-profit association. They each take on different things, in different areas to keep the label alive.

For their next release, they introduce Yasmine Farrugia, better known as YAZMIN. In the realm of sound that YAZMIN meticulously crafts, the music transcends its conventional boundaries, becoming an immersive journey through the depths of techno, the allure of groove, and the mysterious elegance of dark elements. YAZMIN‘s musical philosophy is based on an unwavering commitment to pushing artistic boundaries. She loves to push the boundaries of creativity, constantly searching for fresh expressions and novel sounds within the dynamic world of music.

YAZMIN is a DJ and producer based in Malta, famous for her captivating techno sets that combine dark, hypnotic elements with deep, hard-hitting grooves. A leading figure in the underground scene, YAZMIN has shared the stage with some of the most respected names in the techno scene. Now, YAZMIN presents Modulator EP by T&NE RECORDS, a collection of four original tracks, of which I would like to highlight Modulator, the eponymous track.

Modulation is the action and effect of modulating, that is, modifying the factors involved in a process to obtain different results; for example, increasing the temperature to accelerate a reaction. In this way, YAZMIN‘s sound design modulates the electric waves of the devices she uses to generate her sound. On this track, the rhythm is fast, fearless, and agile. It gives the sensation of being unstoppable, although it is very well modulated so that it runs smoothly. And between different modulations, the sound layers swirl together to form an impressive sonic whole.
