Club Furies

Sebastián Mella is an electronic music producer born in Santiago de Chile, known under the pseudonym Fantasna. His career began in 2001, standing out for the use of sampling in the creation of rhythmic and harmonic patterns. Fantasna, in addition to his activity as a musician, plays an important role as the founder of the Chilean music label Halcxn. This music label aims to establish a lasting presence in the electronic music scene of the region.

With a precise focus on digital, Fantasna and his label seek to integrate local electronic music into the contemporary global musical context, promoting new artistic proposals and avoiding adherence to conventional electronic formats. For his most recent release, Fantasna presents his new maxi-single, called Bosque Rojo, as part of his latest album Estar Contigo.

The release is produced through the independent label Halcxn and brings together different versions of the title track, including the original, a remix by Chilean producers Mente3000 and Sajo Bkule, and an ambient version by Sebastián Mella himself, founder of the label.

Fantasna‘s original song, Bosque Rojo, is presented as a deep house track that stands out for its rhythmic approach. The track combines a solid pulse, with samples and deep chords that create an enveloping atmosphere. The maxi single Bosque Rojo also features contributions from Mente3000 and Sajo Bkule, two renowned Chilean producers.

Mente3000, known for his avant-garde approach to club music and experimental techno, has a three-decade career as a DJ, producer, and music publisher. Meanwhile, Sajo Bkule has developed a sonic aesthetic that explores jazz, hip-hop, and electronica.

Both artists bring their unique vision to this project, expanding the boundaries of the original song. The subtlety and sophistication of the deep house of the original mix, whose delicacy touches the most delicate jazz, clashes with the experimental and avant-garde style of the remixers, who give a broken rhythm to the house of the original mix, leaving us with more clubby, faintly dark places.

And when the rhythm seems to reach the sonic extreme, it subtly takes us to delicate nostalgias, in the middle of imperceptible threads. With this, everything reaches ethereal and ineffable levels, a sign that this is it. Certainly, Fantasna, as well as his label, are always a guarantee of well-made music.
