Brutal Casual Magazine is the live project of photographer and visual artist Jacopo Benassi, and DJ, producer, and post-punk musician Lady Maru. It is a live performance with EBM, Industrial, Synthpunk, and Noise influences, combined with real-time photography, with a camera used as a musical instrument. It is a surreal way to vindicate hidden subcultures through various disciplines (sound, photography, and body performance).

The fanzine will be based on materials taken from various concerts, but also from everyday life experiences: walking down the street, after a concert, in a kitchen, anywhere. The fanzine will include contributions from friends and artists who also wish to add elements to the «brutal casual» concept.
Dadarism is the second album by Brutal Casual —the first one was presented by Industrial Complexx,— an experiment between underground and contemporary art. Tracks like Kabul and There is no peace are created using field recordings and analog samples. Action and Inhuman take us back to industrial/EBM rhythms with Dadaist vocals and Synth Punk influences. The album is completed with Ohne Krieg and Redemption with hypnotic rhythms and downtempo, all mixed with detuned guitars, distortions, and alienating elements as characteristic elements of the duo.
What are the attributes of the human? That is the first question to be answered in order to move on to the attributes of the inhuman. That has possibly been the question of the whole of society as soon as it entered its modern stage, in which it separated itself from the supra-earthly order. That is possibly one of the questions that humanity will never be able to answer. Among such doubts, the song choruses «inhuman» in the middle of historical laments and sounds that gravitate between Acid, Post Punk, and industrial.
Wails that linger, taking the front of the sound, while the rest of the instruments slumber between the past and the future. It becomes latent and in its latency becomes manifest. At the same time, the sound enters into expectant and fearful lands. Sound art positions itself to resolve the unity of the human/human difference.
