From Milan, Italy, Taru is presented as «research on sound and its possibilities». «The Taru project» began when this artist was studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on sound design and the investigation of spatiality in an imaginary line that connects with the feelings he experienced in certain moments of life. Soundscapes, electronic sequences, artificial liquid soundtracks, and experimentation with synthesis processes are some of the elements that characterize the project.
For one of his most recent releases, he presents himself in Bio Future Lab, which in turn presents itself as «symphonies of industry 4.0», a rather unusual but equally brilliant label, which presents Specular. The concept of «specularity» has become especially interesting since the latest observations in the field of microbiology. Outside of the scientific aspects, the concept of «specularity» can be linked to several curious aspects about the essence of life.
The album is composed of textures and fragments that reflect and shimmer, accidentally crossing electronic crystal sequences on the threshold of ambient soundtracks structured with light. The LP contains 10 electronic compositions. In Taru’s words, «The concept of ‘specularity’ intrigued me after the latest scientific discoveries; in fact, it is also present in philosophy, literature, etc. Music, as always, reflects what happens in other fields, exactly in a ‘specular’ way.
The sound of Mirror H is like floating in clean green waters, in the middle of paradisiacal oases where time has frozen and the tensions of life do not exist. It is an impasse that takes us to idyllic worlds where sound manages to eliminate any obstacle to enjoyment and absolute calm. It is the positive reflection of the negative.
