Spanish producer Orbital 14 lands on the Indian label Observant, from where the techno sound crowd is observed and curated with unrivalled precision. This is Alpha Patterns, the label’s OM024 stripe. An algorithm is an ordered and finite set of operations that makes it possible to find the solution to a problem. It is composed of a series of systematic and previously defined instructions that are used to perform a specific task.

We often think that the sound of electronics is invariably subject to the algorithms that give life to the machines, digital or analogue, from which the sound is produced and reproduced. However, that obliterates the artistic creativity that is required for a noise to be sound.

A whole construct that models galaxies, stars, planets, deep blacks and spaceships and astronauts, immersed in a whole semantics of science fiction, of human travel to that impregnable universe and of the transformation of electronics, once searching for the future on Earth, now searching for it on other planets. The sound is perfect, and every layer is exceptional. All in all, it takes us from the sound to its visual correlate and back again.
