One of the aliases of our dear favourite artist John Plaza is featured on the tremendous Dissident Music label, a Spanish label run by our beloved DCM, whose curatorial line prostrates itself in the dissident and the different. This time, it’s AROF presenting an EP called Polarity, a collection of five original tracks.
«What we perceive as stable is often a fragile balance between opposing forces. Polarity inhabits this uncertain space on the boundary between attraction and repulsion. Polarity is a sonic journey marked by strong contrasts. Dense textures and sudden silences merge with fragmented rhythms that defy the linearity of time. Here, techno becomes a visceral force, a pressure that reveals the inner tension of each sound. More than a collection of tracks, it is a sensory vehicle that invites us to explore the friction between opposites and the complexity of instability».
This is how Dissident‘s new release is defined, one that is framed in dark but exciting atmospheres, and among which we highlight that of Range. A surety in the sound design that arrives between restless labyrinths and imminent electrical storms, which only diminish to show their power and strength.
Mutant sound that rubs the veins of the night, the dancefloor and the dancers, denying its part of negation, embracing attraction and company. Showing itself more agile, fresh, and energising, it permeates the veins of the body, with an ever-incipient and ever-present sound.
