Club Furies

Hakkon, born in La Rioja (Spain), explores the boundaries between memory and rhythm in this new EP full of hypnotic depth and tension. Entitled Memory, presented by Colombian label Pure Nature Records, it contains four original tracks of pure techno fire.

Relational Memory I dives into deep and introspective landscapes, while Relational Memory II keeps the hypnotic core but adds a more physical and groovy drive. On the semantic side, Semantic Memory I offers an energetic and mental groove, and Semantic Memory II closes the journey with hypnotic melodies and powerful percussion.

Semantic memory is the memory of meanings, understandings, and other conceptual knowledge that are not related to concrete experiences. It is what allows us to distance and detach ourselves from the thing in order to generalise and apprehend it conceptually.

Constant rhythm, which resembles the repetitions required to apprehend something from memory and separate it from the concrete thing. Sound ridges that texturise the layered canvas to give it more body and a stable separation. Variations and unique timbres that extend ad infinitum to give uniqueness to that which is detached.
