CF Premiere: MarekSPolzki – Reprogram the Soul [Subsist Records]

From Warsaw, MarekSPolzki articulates a clear line within contemporary techno —and does so without fanfare or manifestos. The work speaks for itself. Connected to labels like Modularz, Olympian, Concrete Records, Splatter Imprint, and Analog Solutions, his sound moves between groove, experimental structure, and a hypnotic depth that never yields. There’s no fear of exploring denser textures, but always under a logic of narrative coherence and constant forward drive that keeps the experiment from becoming dispersion.

In his sets, selection isn’t accumulation: it’s judgment. His own productions coexist with tracks from artists operating under the same sonic logic —precise groove, unexpected structures, contained but intense energy. Everything responds to the same intention: sustaining the flow without losing the thread. Techno as a closed system, in internal expansion. It doesn’t grow outward —it grows inward, and that is far more difficult to pull off.

For one of his most recent releases, MarekSPolzki lands on Subsist Records, the Spanish label that has spent years as one of the most solid references in the European underground circuit. A label that needs no introduction —its catalog is its calling card. And within that catalog arrives Zero Emotional Protocol, an eleven-track original collection that is, from the first track to the last, an unbroken statement of intent.

Zero Emotional Protocol doesn’t propose an emotion: it imposes a state. Dystopian and hypnotic techno built on sharp, constantly rolling basslines, cut through by glitch bleeps that slice the void with surgical precision. The percussion functions as a trance mechanism while the structures evolve without breaking the tension —never too much, never all at once. Everything unfolds within a dark and expansive sonic landscape where every element seems to push toward the same point: total immersion. References to Huxley operate here not as a cultural nod but as a genuine conceptual framework: black, dense atmospheres designed for closed raves with no possible exit. Zero emotion. Infinite void. And yet, impossible to let go.

«Reprogram the Soul» carries its entire declaration of intent in the title. It functions exactly as announced: a hollowing out of everything related to the emotion of the soul, redirecting it toward another kind of content —the soul as a pure receiver of sound. And not just any sound: one that is deep, clean, almost robotic, almost inhuman.

As if the machines of electronic music had detached themselves from their owners, their manufacturers and creators, from those who make them function and emit sounds as music —and had decided to continue alone, following their own logic, toward a destination no human designed. It’s one of those tracks that makes you feel, paradoxically, that the absence of emotion is itself a form of feeling.
