There are aesthetic alliances that define the very foundations of a platform. For the return of one of the most cherished and consistent labels in our catalog, Seoul-based Korean imprint Artscope upholds its rigorous curatorial stance within high-caliber deep techno. For this release, the platform joins forces with Spanish composer !nertia, an artist focused on decoding the instinctive movement of matter through field recordings and live electronics. The result is Ritual Origenes—a package completed by reinterpretations from Aleja Sanchez and Reggy Van Oers—where the border between the natural environment and synthetic design dissolves to give way to an animistic heritage mysticism and rough textures.

The great conceptual paradox of this body of work materializes on Mineral de Fuego. If we think of an element of this nature, the mind ipso facto evokes high temperatures, incandescence, and precious stones molded by magma. However, the track bearing this name defies any physical obviousness: it unfolds in a fresh, agile, patient, and passive manner. Far from the stridency of consuming fire, the piece operates like a thermal crystal at rest, sustaining a wide conceptual depth that manifests categorically throughout its sonic performance.

The progression advances with millimetric patience—a loop of contained movement that warps the dancefloor’s temporality. Frequencies overlap fluidly and organically, translating the EP’s tribal heritage into a suspended, minimalist architectural space. It is a subtle mysticism, where liquid textures and latent synths create a flawless balance between machine coldness and the earth’s pulse, trapping the dancer’s body within an uninterrupted immersion.

Towards the denouement, the structure rejects any complacent resolution or fading closure. The drive simply cuts off mid-analog containment, leaving the room’s temperature floating in a controlled ambiguity. With Ritual Origenes, !nertia and Artscope sign a flawless editorial stance: they prove that the most sophisticated deep techno is that which is capable of subverting its own concepts, transforming fire into a freezing, hypnotic, and impregnable flow.
