Message 431 returns with Loophole, the latest release from Cork-based DJ and producer FL3X Techno, aka Laurence McGarr. The Irish artist and label owner has been steadily building his sound around the deeper end of raw and hypnotic techno, while Message 431 continues its monthly transmissions with a clear focus on raw, deep and hypnotic sound architecture. The two meet naturally here in a release built around pressure, repetition and tightly controlled movement.
Across its six tracks, Loophole keeps the focus firmly on the mechanics of the groove. “Dark Line,” “Loophole,” “Forward Motion,” “Load,” “Foreign Lands” and “Round Edges” form a cohesive sequence where repetition becomes a tool for maintaining momentum rather than simply repeating a formula. Written and produced entirely by FL3X Techno, the EP moves through different shades of deep, stripped-back and hypnotic techno, with each track contributing to the continuous architecture of the release.
