Dangelo (Arg), the alias of Argentine producer Pablo Dangelo, has been steadily making his mark on the local techno scene while also running Fractvre Records. After previously appearing on Simplecoding, he returns to the label with Isostasys, a four-track release that continues to develop his particular take on contemporary techno. We have also featured Simplecoding Recordings before at Club Furies, making this another welcome meeting between the label and our radar.
Across Aperiodic Resonance, Isostasys, Occlusion, and Pleroma, the release keeps a strong sense of continuity while giving each track its own character. The titles point toward a world of abstract concepts and shifting structures, but the record stays focused on the physical language of techno. It is a compact release that feels designed for the kind of focused listening and late-night movement where details gradually reveal themselves.
Our premiere is Dangelo (Arg) — Occlusion, the third track on the EP. There is a sense of tension in its progression, with the rhythm holding everything together as the track develops its darker atmosphere. It has that direct quality we like to find in techno: music that does not need to over-explain itself to make its presence felt.
With Isostasys, Dangelo (Arg) strengthens his connection with Simplecoding Recordings while bringing another piece of his evolving sound into the label’s catalogue. Occlusion gives us a concise glimpse into that world — focused, intense, and built around the simple pleasure of getting lost in a good techno track.
