DTKTD Records is a record platform based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Originally founded in 2017 as an event series conceived to promote Argentine underground talent, the project took a crucial evolutionary step in 2024 by transforming into a record label, bringing a new imprint to the regional electronic scene. With a constantly expanding catalog, DTKTD has become a bastion of forceful and avant-garde sounds for the dancefloor.
Borkko is an electronic music producer who has consolidated himself in the techno and ambient scene thanks to a deeply immersive sound, dark textures, and a notable sound design. With releases signed under respected club culture labels such as Diffuse Reality Records, the project stands out for creating hypnotic atmospheres and an introspective character. His musical proposal balances the forcefulness of the dancefloor with abstract soundscapes, making him a reference act for lovers of experimental and avant-garde techno.
His most recent delivery is titled Refracción Total Interna and represents the eleventh reference in the DTKTD RECORDS catalog. This EP dives fully into the territories of Hypnotic and Raw Techno, offering a sonic journey structured in three original tracks —“Círculo de Confusión”, “Persistencia Retiniana”, and “Hiperfocal”— that complement each other perfectly with two powerful remixes by producers B3NZ and PUJALTE. It is a work designed both for mental introspection and for the maximum energy of the dancefloor.
The hyperfocal distance is the minimum distance at which you must focus a lens to achieve the maximum possible depth of field, making everything appear in focus from half that distance to infinity. The track that bears this name, Hiperfocal, embedded in the middle of the release, at the end of the original mixes and before the remixes, has a tinkling, incipient, drilling, punctilious, mordant sound. Roughly subtle, continuously discontinuous, it manages to form a sonic texture as velvety as it is fierce and wild, progressive in its unfolding, precise as a whole.
