One of our favorite emerging artists is Melina Genchi, who, from Necochea, Argentina, traces a trajectory that travels through various territories of electronic music before reaching a refined balance. Her language is based on the coexistence of melody and energy, a tension that remains active instead of resolving itself. The darkness present in her sound is not overwhelming; it circulates and becomes rhythm.
Her style combines deep melodic layers with dense atmospheres and a groove that moves with constant magnetism. Straddling indie dance, melodic techno, and peak time, her sound creates an enveloping field, where voices —filtered, almost mechanical— intertwine throughout the structure. The dancefloor becomes a continuous space, sustained by an energy that endures.
Now, she arrives at Logia Records with her new EP, «Illusion», which includes two original productions that reflect the sonic identity the Argentine artist has been developing within the Indie Dance and Bass Tech scene. The release also features two remixes of «Illusion»: one by Mexican producer Rafael Vilches, who brings his own interpretation of the track, and another by Argentine artist Rodrigo AM, who offers a renewed vision marked by his connection to Techno, Indie Dance, and Dark Disco. These are two reinterpretations that expand the possibilities of «Illusion» and complete an EP articulated around different perspectives on the same material.
Rafael Vilches is a Mexican DJ and producer born in 2002, whose sound is characterized by enveloping rhythms, high energy, and sophisticated melodic construction. In his current stage, Rafael redefines himself with a deeper, more sensorial, and hypnotic sound, fusing the energy of Indie Dance and Dark Disco with the precision and aggressiveness of Minimal Techno, creating intense atmospheres that connect with the audience both physically and emotionally.
The Mexican’s remix of the Argentine’s track enjoys high intensity and energy that ipso facto raise the heart rate and the beats per minute on the dancefloor. With these high notes, he can then modulate after the rhythm, which he plays with to monitor the audience. At its peak, the sound becomes nostalgic, magical, and mystical, becoming a spectacular track.
