Nicko Shuo is a techno producer who sits at the intersection of hypnotic, raw, and futuristic (sci-fi) techno. He began by experimenting with various styles of electronic music before focusing on this darker and deeper side of techno. To forge his own sound, he analyzed in detail a vast collection of releases; since then, his tracks have seen the light through various record labels, both in digital and vinyl formats. Nicko performs at a wide variety of events and records podcasts for promotional series around the world.
Our mix series is called «Cintas Furiosas». The concept is inspired by the Baseball Furies, the cult gang from the film The Warriors, and by Imperator Furiosa, the central figure of Mad Max: Fury Road and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Both references converge around the same idea: intensity, uprooting, and energy in constant tension. Each edition works as a tape that projects a different type of «furious sound» according to the guest artist, expanding the concept through new textures, speeds, and emotional states. On this occasion, that fury takes an especially fluid and magnetic form at the hands of Nicko Shuo.
The selection that Nicko Shuo has shared with us, for which we thank him deeply, is a sample of the sound he himself produces and appreciates. Rough, raw, deep, hypnotic, in a continuous velvety flow in its transitions as agile, fresh, and powerful in its peaks and valleys. From consolidated artists such as Oscar Mulero and Housemeister, to heavyweights in the underground scene, and his own productions that show the potential and manifesto of the DJ and artist.
