The prolific international label Illegal Alien Records presents its new release in physical format, a ten-inch vinyl edition. And it is presented by one of the best Spanish producers, Joton. It’s called Shadow Pulse and it’s a collection of three original tracks, which, it must be said, is simply spectacular. Each of the three tracks is a sonic universe in itself but with its own structure. In short: a top-notch release.
The eponymous track Shadow Pulse is organized from mystery, enigma, and latency. As sound enhancers, which are a well-established concept. From those structural vertices, the sound is cryptic, and with hammering pulsating shadows. But such mediation is done with impressive sophistication.
With that sonic structure, immersion in the sound is achieved with an almost haunting subtlety and charm, in which the sound passes through progressive layers of sophistication. In the end, everything is covered with techno candy that leaves us with sensations of completeness, but also of majesty. That is the sound of Joton.
