Scordisci is a London-based record label and event series that has developed a distinct identity through the convergence of multiple strands of electronic music. Its catalogue and programming create connections between traditional techno, avant-garde composition, and electroacoustic experimentation, guided by a commitment to artists with clear vision and genuine expression. Rather than reinforcing stylistic boundaries, Scordisci is interested in what happens when genres become porous and begin communicating with one another.

That philosophy finds an ideal expression in 2 Years of Scordisci VA001, a compilation celebrating the label’s first two years of activity. The result of months of collaboration, experimentation, and shared creative exchange, the release brings together twenty-three artists from across the contemporary techno landscape. More than a collection of tracks, it functions as a portrait of a community, a snapshot of the creative ecosystem that has surrounded the label from the beginning while continuing to expand both sonically and visually.

Among the contributors is Mmolotsi Mabua, a producer and DJ from Gaborone, Botswana. His work has become recognized for a personal approach to techno that explores different intensities while maintaining a strong focus on depth, movement, and gradual atmospheric construction. Here he presents Loud, Wet Kisses, a piece that unfolds patiently, allowing every element to settle into place within an architecture that is constantly evolving.

From the opening moments, a soft, velvety texture emerges, contrasting with the emotional intensity that slowly gathers beneath the surface. The track advances through precise and restrained progressions, creating a form of hypnosis that relies not on immediate impact but on persistence. Layers accumulate gradually, weaving an increasingly rich and immersive sonic fabric.
