ØLMØ makes his debut on Signal Rec with Manipulation_EP, a four-track release built around the UK producer’s raw and dark approach to techno. His work has appeared previously on labels such as WLV and AMC, and we’ve also featured his music at Club Furies, where his sound has consistently leaned toward the heavier, more uncompromising side of the dancefloor. For Signal Rec, Manipulation_EP becomes a meeting point between raw elements, cleaner soundscapes, and a more experimental idea of techno.
Across Power, Manipulation, Lies, and Resources, ØLMØ explores the tension between those two sides of his sound. The label describes the EP as an attempt to build a bridge between entertainment and cultural expression, art and chaos, and that idea runs through the four tracks without making the release feel overly conceptual. There is a directness to the music that keeps its focus on movement, energy, and the physical experience of the club.
Our premiere is ØLMØ — Power, the opening track of the EP. It sets the tone with a forceful, dark presence, gradually building its intensity around a persistent rhythmic drive. The track feels made for that point in the night when subtlety gives way to something more physical, keeping the pressure high while leaving enough space for the atmosphere to unfold.
With Manipulation_EP, Signal Rec adds another distinctive voice to its catalogue, while ØLMØ brings his particular balance of rawness and control into the label’s orbit. Power opens the release with exactly that tension in mind: direct, intense, and ready for the dancefloor.
