With «Suspended in Time», WEIRDMOUTHRECORDS label director David Heine presents an uncompromising statement: a coherent work created in collaboration with the most important musical companions of his recent years. The title itself is a subtle nod to the dusty grooves of the mid-nineties East Coast era, whose melancholic warmth is intertwined here with dense and atmospheric soundscapes.
It is the sound of a present that feeds on memories. While today’s musical world often demands clinical uniformity, this record refuses to sound polished. It crackles in the grooves and in digital data streams, but it is not a gloomy place.
The physical sound of the needle runs through the here and now, taking us to an intermediate world that carries the echo of analog pioneers. This proud refusal to forget is also reflected in the visual concept, which consistently maintains the retro and raw aesthetic of the record.
Konstantin Kost is a Ukrainian musician from the city of Odesa, a lover of deep, serene, and forceful techno sounds. His music and DJ sessions are a faithful reflection of his mood and his inner message, and they offer listeners a deep auditory experience.
Konstantin‘s dedication to his craft is evident in each of his performances. His intricate mixes and powerful rhythms captivate the audience, transporting them to a realm of sonic exploration. His ability to transmit deep emotions through his music has earned him a place of respect in the hearts of techno fans, both in Ukraine and around the world.
The second track of Side B is «2010» —the second track, with the special collaboration of Kost—, which reflects the nebulous and expectation-filled energy of Stuttgart‘s nightlife around the year 2010; that abrupt rupture in which familiar sounds were replaced by the hypnotic ecstasy of a new electronic club aesthetic.
