Sebastian Sturgeon, also known as Unlimited Whatever, also known as 88UW, was born in 1978 in Hamburg, Germany. From a young age, 88UW was already fascinated by eighties electronic music, DJs, and breakdancing. In 1991 he first visited a record shop specializing in Hip-Hop, Electro/Breakbeats, and Techno of all kinds. He quickly fell in love with dark, resonant bass in a four-to-the-floor environment. He started playing in clubs at the age of 16 and has continued to fill the dance floors with his mesmerizing and explosive sound.
In the late nineties, he started experimenting with his own equipment to create sounds, atmospheres, and rhythms, but he didn’t feel ready to show his creations to the public yet. It was 2007 the time for his first release, which reached people all over the world and opened many avenues for him. The year 2010 marked the beginning of his new project 88UW | UNLIMITED : WHATEVER. That same year he played his first guest set at Tresor and became a resident DJ shortly after 2011.
Since then, 88UW has performed all over the world and released more than 100 tracks and remixes of different styles. After a bit of a reorientation, 88UW is back in 2021 with plenty of new tracks and a hunger to play. One of the places he has decided to release his tracks is the Spanish label Diffuse Reality Records, where he presents Failed World, a work of six original tracks – Pleaser, Moving Objects, Failed World, Two Minds, Platform, and Shiny Black Dress.
Club Furies presents the premiere of Platform. Platform is the ground on which the sound plants us in a determined way, ready to elevate the flight of dance and put the dancers on high alert. Amidst the sounds of Rave, Techno, and Acid drops, the atmosphere becomes dense and hypnotic sound clouds. The trance begins.
The sweetness and velvety character of the sound are so pronounced that the transition into the depths of the night is barely noticeable, which is extraordinary. In the end, everything is caught in the silence of 88UW‘s sound.
