Club Furies Premiere: Fixeer – Anzob [Illegal Alien Records]

The international label Illegal Alien Records presents its new release. This time, it was led by Mexican artist Fixeer. After some great releases on the best labels around the world, Fixeer returned to the platform led by Ricardo Garduno to present an extended play titled Cafe Kua, a collection of five original tracks. The sound is characterized by a density in crescendo that borders on volcanic levels, amidst murky techno atmospheres. In the end, the sound manages to create a perfect ambiance.

We present the premiere of Anzob, the track that opens this work. Anzob (in Tajik, Анзоб) is a village and jamoat in northwestern Tajikistan. Apparently, it is famous among other things for the Anzob Tunnel or The Tunnel of Death, as it is known locally, is a 5040-meter tunnel. If we imagine the length of the tunnel we can easily relate it to its local name, more if it was not always well secured.

Well, the sound of Anzob is a way of visualizing this tunnel in sound. Darkness, density, mystery, reticence, expectation. All of it constant and cross-cutting. This requires design skills that can keep those qualities both latent and manifest. The sonic layers are swirling as new elements are poured in. This shapes a well-polished, aggressive, and furious sonic whole.
