Club Furies

Based in Malta, Adrian Gambin has curated and directed Systolic since 2016, establishing the label as a key platform for hypnotic techno, deep techno, ambient, and groove-driven sounds. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Systolic presents a series of special releases, including one by Doriko, a DJ and producer from Tirana, Albania.

A devoted vinyl lover, DJ, and producer, founder of Beatnik Community, and educator at Deejay Academy Albania, Doriko focuses her practice on hypnotic techno. Thaalam EP feels less like a traditional collection of tracks and more like a transmission from another layer of consciousness. Here, rhythm becomes language and atmosphere turns into memory, shaping a distinctly ritualistic sonic world.

Rather than chasing peak-time aggression, the EP embraces deep immersion. Each track unfolds patiently, revealing subtle shifts in timbre and energy, inviting both introspection and physical movement. The sound reflects a dialogue between ancient symbolism and modern techno architecture, echoing Balkan mysticism, nature, and the unseen.

Azureus Temple opens with an apparently violent energy, firmly rooted in deep techno coordinates, gradually intensifying as time unfolds. The pulse stretches into eternity, briefly suspends itself, and descends into valleys of deep reflection where the sound sharpens and refines. After this synthesis, time seems to halt abruptly, leading into sonic wastelands marked by temporal interference and profound lethargy. A final resynthesis resolves into absolute, calming introspection.
