Club Furies

UTCH Records has steadily consolidated itself from Santiago, Chile as a platform where label and event culture converge through a shared understanding of techno: functional hypnosis, structural precision, and a deep awareness of the dancefloor as a space for prolonged immersion. Driven by Under Tech Chile since 2023, the project has developed a curatorial identity focused on restrained pressure, progressive architecture, and hypnotic continuity rather than immediate excess or overstimulation.

At the center of the project stands The Ripped, DJ and producer responsible both for the label and the artistic management behind UTCH Corporation. His work moves through coordinates shaped by repetition, tension, and gradual modulation, constructing tracks that evolve like expanding mechanical systems rather than explosive club tools. Density accumulates slowly through rhythmic persistence and microscopic sonic detail, allowing movement to emerge from continuity itself.

Within this new phase, “Modular Hypnosis” captures that direction with remarkable clarity. The track unfolds through a closed and persistent rhythmic sequence sustained by metallic percussion, filtered modulations, and grooves built around constant pressure. Each sonic layer settles carefully into place through subtle internal shifts, generating the sensation of continuous movement beneath the surface. Tension never collapses; it remains suspended inside a structure engineered with surgical precision for the dancefloor.

The texture itself carries a distinctly architectural quality. Sounds seem to travel through narrow corridors and humid industrial surfaces where the low-end behaves like an underground current and filtered frequencies flicker like electrical reflections over steel and concrete. The effect is intensely physical, yet equally psychological: hypnosis operating through repetition and microscopic control of energy flow.

With V/A 0010, UTCH Records reaches its tenth compilation, reinforcing an identity grounded in restraint, progressive immersion, and hypnotic functionality. The release continues a curatorial vision where movement emerges through internal consistency rather than abrupt transformation. There is a clear trust here in repetition as a perceptual mechanism, in rhythm’s ability to gradually reshape both space and temporal sensation within the club environment.

Following the collaborative release with Vertical Spectrum, later expanded through reinterpretations by Mal Hombre, Samuli Kemppi, Anan Tasca, and The Ripped, the label now presents a new Various Artists compilation conceived as a fully cohesive body of work. Rather than functioning as a scattered collection, the release operates as a unified system of tension, groove, and hypnotic displacement.

The compilation also brings together artists closely connected to some of the strongest platforms within contemporary techno: Developer, founder of Modularz; The Ripped, the operational core of UTCH; Alexa Strange, curator of Registros Siderales; and Ricardo Garduno, founder of Illegal Alien Records. Each artist introduces distinct nuances while remaining anchored within a shared sonic framework built around sustained pressure, reduced elements, and the direct relationship between mental immersion and bodily response.

Across its four tracks, V/A 0010 develops through inward progression. Storm-like low-ends, repetitive sequences, and nearly imperceptible modulations construct a narrative centered on continuity and energetic flow. The release maintains its force in a latent state for most of its duration, like a perfectly calibrated machine whose power emerges through persistence rather than immediate impact.

Taken as a whole, the compilation further establishes UTCH Records within the deeper, hypnotic, and structurally refined edges of contemporary techno. A release where immersion does not operate as decoration, but as the natural consequence of rigorously constructed sonic architecture.
