The Latin American techno diaspora continues to redraw its boundaries with proposals that inject dynamism into industrial rigidity. We are proud to present the latest release from Are:gone on Illegal Alien Records, a rising young artist originally from Havana and now based in Florida, who has successfully solidified a distinctive approach fusing hypnotic techno with a sharp rhythmic identity. After leaving his mark on respected platforms such as Mind Medizin, Evilgroove, and Mammboh Rhythms, the producer marks his debut EP on the label with Kalapa—a four-track collection carefully built around Latin-rooted percussive elements, latent textures, and energetic grooves that expand the catalog’s nocturnal identity.
