Percussions From Space is the latest long-form offering from Subsist Records, crafted by Chilean producer and sound researcher Fleep as a manifesto on the future of dance music and an exploration of dancefloor boundaries through the lens of science fiction. Based in southern Chile and founder of the imprint Fenómenos Records, Fleep envisions a sonic metric originating beyond terrestrial bounds: a form of alien folklore built from piercing kick drums, complex sequencing, otherworldly percussion design, and frequencies tailored for architectures from distinct worlds.
Across the LP, tension, noise, and rhythmic drive take on new dimensions. Conventional techno structures dissolve to make way for mutant patterns and harmonies surfacing from unexpected frequencies, transforming the listening experience into a deeply immersive physical exercise. The release consolidates Fleep’s signature identity—defined by modular synthesis, deep spatial atmospheres, and intricate basslines engineered to test large-scale soundsystems across clubs, festivals, and outdoor gatherings alike.
