Metal Disorder by Armen Crew returns with Corrupted Protocol EP, the latest release from q-Bit and the fourth entry in the label’s catalogue. Landing on October 1, the EP brings together raw electro, techno and futuristic electronic textures, with remixes by Lemon Schaden and MIKEL expanding the record into different rhythmic territories. The release also marks an important step for the label: MD004 becomes Metal Disorder’s first vinyl release, with an ultra-limited run of just 20 copies.
q-Bit has already appeared on the Armen Crew platform and on the label’s radio show, developing a sound focused on machines, electronic tension and futuristic textures. Corrupted Protocol pushes that language further through a selection that moves between the raw mechanical character of “Mind Under Latency” and “Lost Syntax”, the darker atmospheres of “Chronosphere” and “System Collapse”, and three reinterpretations of “Lost Syntax.” The result is a release that keeps its machinery exposed while allowing each version to alter the balance between rhythm, space and intensity.
For this Club Furies Signal, we focus on “Lost Syntax” MIKEL Remix. MIKEL takes the original into a more driving and club-oriented dimension, preserving the track’s mechanical character while giving its rhythmic core greater weight. The groove feels tightly wound, with electronic textures moving around a persistent pulse that keeps the track in a state of controlled tension. There is a distinctly physical quality to the remix, yet the sound remains sufficiently spacious for its details to emerge gradually.
At 6:08, “Lost Syntax (MIKEL Remix)” finds its strength in that balance between machine precision and hypnotic movement. It feels like a system running under pressure, constantly processing and rearranging its own components while the groove keeps pushing forward. As part of Corrupted Protocol, the remix becomes another piece of the EP’s larger mechanical language — and another glimpse into the corrupted world that Metal Disorder describes so directly: the system glitches, the vinyl takes control.
