Spanish producer and DJ Hervás gm returns to the forefront of the underground scene with the release of his latest EP, “La Catarsis”, issued under reference AM043D through the label Abstract Mechanisms, the acclaimed experimental side of the cult platform Illegal Alien Records. This new work consists of four original tracks (“Cierre de Ciclo”, “Contacto Estrecho”, “Desadaptación positiva”, and “Dinámicas de movilización”). In them, the artist unfolds a sophisticated and deep sonic narrative. There, hypnotic, mental, and dark-tinged techno becomes a path of liberation and absolute transformation on the dancefloor.

CF Signals: Tarantula Nebula – Unknown Species [Abstract Mechanisms]

Hervás gm firmly establishes himself as one of the creative minds to watch within the most avant-garde side of Spanish techno. He stands out for a rigorous artistic approach that balances complex sound design with the rhythmic effectiveness of the underground club. His constant evolution in the studio and his intense live sessions have led him to capture the attention of respected international bastions of electronic music. He has placed his productions in globally respected catalogs and maintains a constant presence at select events on the Iberian scene. There, he defends a raw, introspective sonic identity faithful to the roots of abstract techno.

As the crowning touch of the EP, “Dinámicas de movilización” lives up to its name by acting as an exercise in sonic activation. It generates a physical and interactive response on the dancefloor, emulating that articular and collective movement that awakens the body. It works as a quite mobile closing, yet fixed in its concepts. There, the hypnotic and dark techno of Hervás gm is capable of glimpsing infinite horizons amid temporal tensions. It achieves a mental and rhythmic cohesion that transforms the energy of the dancefloor into absolute liberation.
