KNTZ, also known as Ilja Generalov, is an electronic music producer who has quickly positioned himself in the contemporary techno scene. His sound stands out for a raw and magnetic identity that fuses accelerated rhythms, hypnotic atmospheres, and relentless industrial energy.
After catching the attention of the underground community with releases such as the acclaimed EP Helical Turn (2024), he consolidated his sound and his place in the international circuit through his debut album Core (2025), released under the prestigious label Mind Games Recordings. With a consistent sonic proposal and meticulous production —evidenced in his most recent works from 2026, Cicatrization and Early Reflections—, KNTZ continues to expand the limits of modern techno, establishing himself as an essential name for understanding the present of the experimental and high-intensity dancefloor.
Message 431 is an independent techno label whose sonic architecture is raw, deep, and hypnotic. It has quickly become one of our favorite labels of the moment, and with a new transmission every month, the new one arrives. This time, it is KNTZ. The artist, based in Tallinn, begins the label’s next chapter with «Plattenbau»: a dark and hypnotic techno characterized by raw percussion, a dense atmosphere, and repetitive structures designed for nighttime sessions. Pressure, containment, and constant movement.
A release of five original tracks under the name Plattenbau, which refers to a housing building whose structure is assembled from large prefabricated concrete panels. Meanwhile, Kombinat primarily designates the conglomerates or groupings of industrial companies in the planned economies of the former Eastern Bloc (such as the GDR, the Soviet Union, and Mongolia), although today it is also used in other contexts. The sound of our premiere, Kombinat, refers with some clarity to these contexts, with a raw, rough, industrial, and very clean sound that ultimately achieves a simply spectacular texture.
