Cyd is a producer, DJ, and live artist from Poland (Elk – Szyba), owner of Solemne Records. Cyd has been creating music under various pseudonyms since around 2001, but his current profile came to prominence around 2015. He has two main collaborative projects with two other musicians: Clefomat (as a producer duo) and Trzybe (as a producer and MC duo).
Now, for one of his most recent releases, he appears on one of our favorite labels. Faith Disciplines presents one of the most experimental sides of contemporary underground music. Operated by Subsist Records, Cyd now allies with Rozpacz, about whom we could find nothing; such mystery is exciting.
This is a project that, with a carefree, almost casual spirit, lays bare the brutally raw truths of our humanity. The flaws that each of us carries within, the disappointment that each of us is capable of causing. At the heart of these confessions lies our shameless and cruel nature.
Zdrada is the first track on the album (with a duration of 2:44 minutes). Titled “Betrayal” and opening the record, it serves as a dark statement of intent that encapsulates that rough, raw, and cruel essence the project seeks to convey.
