re:flect is interdisciplinary music, art, and event collective and label based in Berlin, Germany. After successful fundraising collections, re:flect now presents its first extended play release. Mamwadi presents Adventures Of The Mind, a work composed of five fascinating and energizing tunes.
Mamwadi is of Swedish origin and is based in Järna, Sweden. Becoming a talented DJ and producer is the only logical outcome of his long-term obsession with electronic music. After traveling through various electronic genres, such as Dubstep, Gabber, Psytrance, Ambient, and Techno, Mamwadi has managed to combine the best influences of each style in his productions, a quality that makes them unique.
His Adventures Of The Mind consists of the track of the same name, Filthy Delight, The Struggle Within, Trembling, and Fear The Future. The titles of the tracks, subsumed under the logic of the EP’s title, lead us to think that these concepts are certain mental adventures: from the filthy delight, the internal struggles, and the trembling that can arise from them to the fear of the future.
Club Furies presents the premiere of Fear The Future. The sounds of Fear The Future are based on the radicalization of this emotion through the drums that foreshadow it. Progressively advancing, the fear turns into trepid and euphoric dances. The adventures of the mind, at times grounded in fear, achieve idylls that are grounded in happiness.
This happiness is sustained on the dance floor and in the dance. Are we, the dancers, ready to make this happiness with substrates of fear our own?
