Subsist Records presents the second album from Altrd Being on the label, the project of Carlos Isidro Matamoros (C Isid), co-founder of Ascetic Limited and member of Motionen. The LP explores the rawest and most uncompromising side of his sound: a raw, minimalist, and stony techno, driven by forceful rhythms, stripped-down structures, and constant tension.
The repetitive patterns gradually mutate while abrasive textures, dense atmospheres, and psychotic elements emerge through a relentless mechanical pulse. Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and currently based in Tbilisi, Altrd Being has developed a distinctive approach to deep, hypnotic, and physical techno. A dark and minimalist work built around raw machinery, forceful rhythms, and psychotic tension, designed for both the mind and the sound system.
Reentry is the second track of this work, just after the Intro, whose concept is well anchored around the mother concept, which is the Voidstate that gives the release its title. A concept used in cybernetics, both first-order and second-order, alludes to the way in which an initially differentiated element differentiates again, producing an iterative effect that will depend on the element in question. Thus, the sound of this track becomes an iteration of sounds in a refractory and undulating manner, very well executed, by the way, but with a rough, rugged, and enveloping touch.
Altrd Being, also known as C Isid, is a prominent figure in the global techno scene, recognized for being one of the members of the duo Motionen and co-founder of Ascetic Limited. Carlos‘s influence transcends the borders of Tiflis, and his international impact extends to stages in Italy, Germany, and Mexico. With deep roots in Tegucigalpa and a significant footprint in Los Angeles, Madrid, and Tiflis, Carlos Isidro Matamoros continues to leave his mark on the global techno landscape, balancing his roles as DJ, producer, and curator.
