Berlin-based Spanish DJ and producer CESTEK makes his debut on Illegal Alien Records with Dilemma, a six-track EP that introduces a producer with a broad approach to techno. His sound moves between deep rhythms, hypnotic passages, rolling grooves, and a strong sense of movement, with previous releases on labels including PRTL WRX, Beluga Tracks, and Diffuse Reality. For Illegal Alien, a label deeply connected to the international underground techno circuit, Dilemma becomes another meeting point between raw club energy and atmosphere.

CF Signals: CV1 – Rise of the Machines [Illegal Alien Records]

The EP moves through different shades of CESTEK’s sound, from the title track and Reliquia to Robin Hood, Ivory Dance, and our featured track, It’s A Life Thing. The release also includes a remix of Robin Hood by Berlin-based Italian producer No.name, whose own work has appeared on Fides, Mind Medizin, and BCCO. Together, the tracks give Dilemma a sense of variety while keeping a clear connection to the dancefloor.

Our premiere is CESTEK — It’s A Life Thing, a track that brings together the groove and hypnotic character running through the EP. It moves with a steady, driving energy while leaving enough space for the atmosphere to develop around the rhythm. There is a directness to it that feels made for the club, with the groove doing most of the talking and the track gradually drawing you further into its world.

With Dilemma, CESTEK begins a new chapter with Illegal Alien Records, bringing his particular take on contemporary techno into the label’s orbit. It’s A Life Thing closes the EP with a track that keeps that connection to movement and repetition alive, offering a fitting final step through a release built for late nights, dark rooms, and the people still dancing inside them.
