iBOT (Ivano Marsalisi) is an Italian DJ, producer and rhythm-maker, born in Turin in 1985, who identifies with the modern current of hypnotic, minimalist, modular techno with a raw texture. His sound combines structural rhythm with a studio methodology driven by the mystical.
Founder of Research From Space Records (established in 2021) and based in northern Italy, iBOT has built a prolific discography with appearances on global labels such as Soma, Subsist Records, Diffuse Reality, Arido Records, Affekt Recordings, TMM, Concepto Hipnótico and [R]3volution, among many others. After making his way through the club, rave and afterparty circuit in Turin — and having passed through Berlin, London, Barcelona and Ibiza — he has earned firm support across the underground scene.
Research From Space Records is an independent label dedicated to dark and ambient techno and to experimental sounds built with modular synthesizers. Its physical vinyl releases are limited editions, with digital copies always available. The label is directed and curated by iBOT and Allure.
For its most recent release, the label presents Beyond The Signal 2026, an eight-track various artists compilation featuring some of the best underground electronic producers on the current circuit. Within it, Whisper undergoes an Edit Mix D’n’B by the boss himself, iBOT.
The chase as a sonic image is the concept that holds the track together: movement that never settles. The sound of the track as a whole oscillates constantly between dark and agile, fresh atmospheres. Its visual correlate is a chase through Scandinavian forests — Dracula-like, amid Halloween environments and UFOs that appear and disappear constantly.
Within Club Furies’ interest in underground electronic music as a cultural language, this edit stands as a playful but precise gesture: the label head reworking his own material toward the season’s imagery.
